October, Domestic Violence Awareness Month

Join Caroline Pegram for Trauma Sensitive Somatic Healing with Caroline Pegram Oct 16, 4-5:30 pm

This practice is similar to a group therapy session but will emphasize a trauma-sensitive approach, creating space and metabolizing experiences held in the body.

I am honored to collaborate with Terra Care SLC and artist Lilian Agar, to honor and acknowledge Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

On Sunday, October 16 from 4p-5:30p I will be offering some ways to find deep healing in approaches that aim to softly connect us to our felt senses and build a safer relationship with our first homes, our bodies.

This practice is available for those who have been impacted by domestic violence, either through direct experience, or vicariously through the relationships of others.

Some Words from Terra Care SLC:

“Acknowledging abuse is never easy. It’s isolating, terrifying and extremely vulnerable. Leaving an abusive situation is even more challenging. Qualified professionals, community and places that hold you when you feel alone is so important.

Join us as we welcome some of Utah’s greatest facilitators for a month of classes focused on love, connection, safety and support - inspired by Lilian’s nine muses from her home country of Mexico

This is for the victims, survivors, and community impacted by the devastation that is domestic violence”

Join Caroline for a 90 min workshop where we will gather together and explore trauma-sensitive movement + somatic-based processing.

Feel free to wear anything you feel cozy in, your favorite journal + any support items that feel nourishing (blankets, pillows, bolsters) that are soothing for you!

This offering provides space for a maximum of 12 people to honor the need for privacy + vulnerability that may show up in this practice.

Please know that the meeting space will have Pilates equipment + mirrors in the room. There will be plenty of space to gather, but please be mindful when signing up if these objects will be supportive when working with your trauma triggers.
